My dog has eaten something. What do I do first?
Call your vet or an animal poison control line straight away. Do that first, before anything else. This product is digestive support, not a treatment, and it is not a substitute for that phone call.
How much do I give?
By weight: under 15 lb (about 7 kg) half a tube; 16–30 lb one tube; 31–60 lb two tubes; 61–90 lb three tubes; 91–150 lb five tubes. Shake, uncap, and measure against the markings on the barrel.
What is in it?
Coconut shell activated charcoal, kaolin and pectin. That is the whole list.
Will it stain?
It is black and it will mark fabric and grout, so give it over a hard floor or outside and have a cloth ready.
How much is delivery, and how long does it take?

Every pet owner needs this. Full stop. So far so good
I got this as part of the vine programme. Now with this I usually test/try products I can review immediately to give a sense of how I'm dealing with something. However with this it was intended as I will keep it in my emergency kit as it sounded amazing to have on hand. My initial review was going to contain how it is consistency etc but about 2 days after it arriving my 15 year old dog ate something on a walk which I didn't know what it was and I as usual gauge how she reacts afterwards. Honestly nothing was amiss so I thought we are good. Then the night that followed we were up since 2am almost all night with her having tummy issues. I forgot I had this initially and gave her my usual kaolin that I give for tummy upsets but she was still up and down. Then in the morning I remembered when I was taking pictures for my new orders and saw this in my camera roll. I didn't want to starve Ruby and cause further upset so I added the recommended dose into her breakfast. I fed a small amount to see how things went and so far 8 hours later we have been okay. So now I can actually say this helped her, I just pray it continues but if there's anything else that happens I'll update my review

Char-coal You Be Prepared?
I hope I never have to use this PawUrgent Activated Charcoal Gel, but I feel reassured having it on hand for emergencies. It's designed to buy you valuable time before you can reach a vet, which could make all the difference. The slightly longer nozzle is helpful for administering directly into a dog's mouth, and I like that it can also be mixed into food if needed. That flexibility is a big plus. My only downside is sizing – you need to buy multiple tubes depending on your dog's weight, which could get expensive for larger breeds and isn't ideal for storage. Different tube sizes would be more practical. Overall, a sensible addition to any dog first aid kit.

Charcoal is good for getting rid if any dangerous toxins that your pet might eat, a generous size tube for what will be a one dose for our dog. Easy to use and administer through the side of the mouth, it may be pricey but found save your pets life whilst waiting for a vet. Highly recommended

A great addition to a dog's first aid kit
I really wish I'd known about this product and had some on hand a few weeks ago! My whippet is hardly ever attracted to foods that are bad for him (may show a little interest in chocolate, but that's about it), but when he came across a discarded takeout dish full of fried onions in the street he couldn't resist wolfing them down before I had the chance to blink, let alone pull him away... The vet said to bring him in immediately, as time was of the essence; an emetic injection, lots of vomiting, an anti-emetic injection, and a large vet bill later and the crisis was averted. In hindsight, it's frustrating to know that I could've dealt with the situation easily (and far more cheaply) if I'd've had some of this activated charcoal gel in the cupboard. Oh well, hindsight is 20:20 as we all know. The size of the tube is large enough to have a complete dose ready for my whippet if another potential poisoning incident occurs, and (particularly when compared to a vet visit) I think it's very good value for money. I can't comment on the ease of use, but it looks very simple to administer (just shake, take the cap off, and squeeze into the mouth), and because it contains activated charcoal, kaolin and pectin, it should be gentle on the stomach and be effective at detoxifying any harmful substances (which will be eliminated in the stool). Also, the product info says that a bit of this gel can be mixed with water and used to sooth skin irritation. Expiry date is in 2028 on the tube I received, so it can stay in the cupboard for a decent length of time.

Brilliant Stuff
Had this Activated Charcoal Gel for a few weeks before we needed to use it. But when we did use it we were so glad we had it. Our dog was suffering with really bad diorrhea oand clearly had an upset stomach. This stuff though cleared it up within a day. We just squeezed a dose over his kibble in the morning and again that evening and his stools returned to normal and he went back to his regular toilet routine. Its great stuff! I was going to attach before and after images..... but thought better of it.

must have for your doggy first aid kit
I got this activated charcoal as a just in case addition to our doggy first aid kit. We had an incident when our dog was much younger where she ate a poisoned mouse and we had to get the emergency vet in, several hundred pounds later, our pooch was fine but our wallets were much thinner. I've since added hydrogen peroxide to our first aid kit to induce vomiting in case needed, however, it does not actually remove any toxins. This is where activated charcoal comes in as activated charcoal for dogs is designed to absorb toxins quickly. It quickly absorbs harmful substances and removes them through your dog's poo. In emergencies, activated charcoal for dogs for poisoning can be a lifesaving solution, offering critical help when time matters most. You never know when you need it and can make such a difference and help quickly without having to wait for a vet. A must have in my opinion and every dog owner should have this at home for emergencies.

Hope not to use!
This is one of those products that it is wise to have in the first aid box, but hope you never need to actually use it. It has a long shelf life so it can safely be kept in preparation. Given that when you would need to dispense this product into your pooch, which, owing to the situation, will be highly stressful, I think it is worth taking the time when you get the product to read the instructions and have a general idea of how to dispense this product. While it has a ring system to enable the quantity of the dose to be set before depressing the plunger, this is only for toy breeds of dog that only need ½ a tube. In most circumstances, a dog will need one or more full syringes of the product being used. My dog is within the weight to only require 1 full syring but if you have a larger dog, you will need at least 2 of these. This product is designed to give you the chance to get some potentially life-saving medication into your dog, to help stabilise the dog and give your vet the time to provide a treatment.

Life saver everyone needs to have!
This already saved my dogs life or at least saved an emergency vet visit and lots of her suffering. She got into silica dust from some home repairs we were doing. We thought we were really careful. Dust traveled and she kicked it when I was in the other room. She started coughing then vomiting foam. She couldn't stop. I tried to wash her mouth out, then tried yogurt to settle her stomach. After wouldn't stop throwing up. I remembered I bought this because of a story I read about it saving someone's dog. I was nervous to use it but certainly couldn't do worse than what was happening. We were minutes away from heading to the vet. Grabbed it and used it. She came right up and licked the end of it no problem. I thought I was going to have to figure out how to get it down. She did so good on her own like a treat. Immediately the vomiting stopped. It never started back up. This worked incredibly well. No side effects from anything either. We watched her for 48 hours and she was all good. This didn't affect her bowel movements either. I believe one was funky colored from it but all good other than that. Life saver and will recommend it to everyone that has animals.
